HOST BROADCASTER

Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) is appointed as a host broadcaster of 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit. KBS is responsible for constructing International Broadcast Center (IBC) in Seoul to provide broadcast partners with the international quality television coverage of key events as well as other broadcast services and facilities offered through the rate card.

BROADCAST STANDARD

KBS produces and distributes the international signals in HD-SDI 1080i/59.94 16:9 as a standard format and SD is also available. KBS will deliver open sessions, airport arrivals and photo opportunities of leaders, briefings and press conferences.

BOOKING PROCEDURE

Broadcast partners are requested to visit the HB official website at http://nss.kbs.co.kr/reg, complete the questionnaire and submit via online by no later than December 25, 2011 (Local Time). The questionnaire can be sent by e-mail (nss2012@kbs.co.kr) or fax (+82 2 781 2789).

Based on the result of questionnaires, KBS will reopen the booking from January 2 to 31, 2012 for broadcast partners to be able to make further adjustments and additional requests if needed.

Services and facilities shall be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Any booking received after January 31, 2012 will be considered late requests and is subject to availability. 50% of additional cost will be charged for late requests.

Once KBS reviews and verify the availability of requested services and facilities, broadcast partners will receive the booking confirmation as well as the invoice for the confirmed items. Broadcast partners can further modify or cancel their confirmed bookings within 72 hours and the revised confirmation and invoice will be issued accordingly.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ON-SITE BOOKING

Located next to MCR, IBC Booking Office will be operational from 7:00 to 19:00 local time for the duration of the summit. For any urgent request apart from the operational hour, MCR Supervisor on duty will assist broadcast partners.

Credit cards, Visa and Master Card, shall be accepted for the on-site booking.

Requests for a broadcaster booth should be submitted by January 31, 2012 and the on-site booking will NOT be accepted.

All charges related to the wire transfer shall be borne by broadcast partners.

Please note that confirmed services will be delivered once the full payment is noted by KBS.

REMARKS ON PAYMENT

Korean broadcast partners and those who make an on-site booking should pay in KRW the equivalent amount in USD. Applied shall be the last noticed cash buying rate of Shinhan Bank of the previous day.

Korean broadcast partners and those who have a business unit in Korea are subject to 10% Value Added Tax.
